Dear Neighbor,

In 1984 I joined the grassroots campaign to incorporate the City of West Hollywood. We fought to protect our homes and to determine our future.

Unfortunately, West Hollywood’s unique character is now assaulted by irresponsible developments that are choking our streets and displacing our residents. Long term tenants are subjected to harassment and eviction. Our progressive values are undermined by huge campaign contributions by developers that unduly influence decision making at City Hall.

If you believe as I do, that our local government should reflect basic community values like honesty, transparency and inclusiveness, then please join me in our mission to ensure our City Council represents the will of the people and not special interests.

As a long-time community advocate and former City Council Member, I pledge to be beholden to no one but the residents of our great community. Working together, let’s create a pro-neighborhood City Council and restore pride in the West Hollywood we love.

Respectfully, I ask for your trust and your vote once again on Election Day.

A Change for the Better!

A Proven Record Working On Behalf of Our Community

Steve Pledges to Put Community First!

  • Be your voice at City Hall and insure the decision-making process is open, inclusive and respectful of the public

  • Stand up to the onslaught of irresponsible development that is destroying our neighborhoods while promoting development that serves the needs of our community, and preserves our unique neighborhoods and historic landmarks

  • Stop the demolition of rent-controlled housing and enhance legal services for tenants and provide effective protections against tenant harassment

  • Promote policy that makes City Council meetings more welcoming and encourage public participation so Council members do less talking and more listening

  • Enhance law enforcement resources to better protect our homes and families while finding practical solutions and funding to help resolve issues involving our homeless population

  • Use my leadership skills to build community consensus on the direction of West Hollywood to ensure we all have a place in it’s future

  • Restore integrity and transparency to our local government by creating policy that prohibits the outlandish monetary contributions from independent “political action committees” that corrupt the workings of City Hall

Beholden to the Residents of West Hollywood, Not Special Interests!
